Beachfront Escapes
When the shoreline becomes part of your stay. Find the experience that feels right, along with practical things to look for before choosing a hotel.
Why this stay is special
A beachfront location offers a distinct rhythm: waves as background sound, morning walks and the possibility of moving between the sand and hotel facilities without a long transfer. But ‘beachfront’ can mean very different things across destinations.
What to look for
Check the hotel’s position relative to the beach. Does a road, public promenade or cliff sit between the building and the water? Look at whether the beach is sandy, rocky or tidal, and whether swimming is typically safe and permitted.
Check the details
Compare the services that matter to you: shade, loungers, showers, lifeguards and beach bars. Seasonal winds, sargassum or restricted access may change the experience. Some scenic hotel beaches are beautiful to look at but unsuitable for swimming.
A thoughtful experience
Be mindful of coastal ecosystems and local beach-access rules. A thoughtful waterfront hotel should manage drainage, lighting and beach operations responsibly.
