Amanzoe Greece
A hilltop architectural sanctuary above the olive groves, with private-pool pavilions and a quieter vision of Mediterranean luxury.

Some resorts use the sea as a backdrop. Amanzoe makes a more architectural statement: a contemporary interpretation of a Greek acropolis, placed above olive groves near Porto Heli on the eastern Peloponnese.
Here, a sense of ceremony is created through courtyards, columns, reflecting water and carefully controlled views. The design language is restrained rather than decorative, and many guests will be drawn as much to the property’s stillness as to its coastal surroundings.
Yet the geography matters. The main resort is elevated above the coast, while its Beach Club sits separately on the shore. Understanding this separation is essential when deciding between the hilltop Pavilions, the Beach Pavilions and larger Villas.
Design & Architecture
Amanzoe draws on the vocabulary of classical Greek architecture rather than a standard beach-resort aesthetic. Colonnaded walkways, courtyards and reflecting water create a measured rhythm, while the setting places olive groves and views of the Aegean in the foreground.
The hotel’s elevated, modern-acropolis concept is one of its defining qualities. This is luxury expressed through proportion, stillness and generous space rather than an abundance of ornament.
The resort’s hilltop arrangement creates a clear architectural identity. It also means travellers seeking direct beach access from the main pavilion should understand the relationship between the hilltop property and its separate Beach Club before booking.

Pavilions & Villas
Accommodation is divided between freestanding Pavilions, Beach Pavilions and larger Villas. Aman describes all of its Pavilions as opening onto private terraces and swimming pools, reached through stone-walled courtyards.
Pool Pavilions and Deluxe Pool Pavilions differ in pool size and view categories, with the official accommodation descriptions listing six-metre and twelve-metre pools for different types. Beach Pavilions place guests close to the shore, while Villas are designed for more spacious private stays.
Before reserving, compare the exact pavilion or villa type, sea versus countryside outlook, private-pool configuration, and the distance to shared resort facilities. Do not assume every category shares the same footprint or view.

Dining
The resort’s official website describes a culinary programme spanning Greek, Mediterranean and Japanese flavours, with local produce and seafood forming part of the offering.
Different dining spaces give visitors a choice of mood, from refined indoor-outdoor settings to more relaxed poolside or coastal meals. Confirm the current venue lineup and seasonal opening hours with Aman before travel, since restaurants and menus may vary.
For a design-led stay, dining is not only about cuisine: the relationship between terraces, sea views, materials and evening light is central to the resort’s atmosphere.
Spa & Wellness
The Aman Spa is one of the resort’s notable facilities. Aman describes it as a tranquil wellness setting with a focus on natural products and an experience connected to the quiet architecture of the property.
Travellers interested in treatments, fitness or specific wellness amenities should examine the current spa menu and advance reservation requirements directly with the resort.
Unlike destinations built around city exploration, Amanzoe may appeal particularly to guests who want quiet days centred on the property itself.

Beach Club & Experiences
Amanzoe has a separate Beach Club at the coast, connected to the hilltop resort. The official site describes pools, a restaurant and waterfront facilities, with transfers between the resort and Beach Club.
The property is also positioned for excursions around Porto Heli and nearby islands including Spetses. Arrange any boat trip or independent outing with careful attention to sea conditions, available services and seasonal schedules.
Important: Aman currently lists seasonal Beach Club opening dates. Confirm availability for your exact travel dates instead of assuming the beach facilities are year-round.

Location & Getting There
Amanzoe’s address is in the Kranidi area near Porto Heli, on the eastern side of Greece’s Peloponnese peninsula. It is not a hotel in central Athens or an island resort.
The official Aman website suggests approximately a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Athens International Airport, subject to conditions. Travellers should confirm their chosen transfer and realistic timings with the resort.
The nearby area provides access to the coast and potential excursions to Spetses and other regional destinations, but the property’s secluded character is part of the appeal. Consider how many excursions you actually want before choosing it as your base.
